A strong all-round choice when you cannot predict the light. Development and scanning are purchased separately.
Gold, but faster.
Kodak UltraMax 400 is the everyday colour film for people who do not want to think about light. Rated at ISO 400, it handles overcast days, open shade, and indoor rooms with a flash, all situations where a 200 speed film starts to struggle.
The colour is vivid and cheerful, a little more punchy and slightly cooler than Gold, with strong saturation and medium contrast. Grain is more visible than a professional film, which is a fair trade for the speed and the price.
This is the roll for a point and shoot you keep in a bag, for parties, for travel where the weather is not guaranteed. It is also very forgiving, so it works well in cameras with basic meters or none at all. Send it back and we will develop and scan it.
