We recommend getting tracking on your shipment. When your package reports it has been delivered, that means that it has been signed for by our receiving service. We do pickups Monday-Friday and will start preparing your film in the order it has been received.
We do our best to provide Status Updates for your order in your site account, so check there every so often.
While there isn’t a clear answer to this concern, in our experience we haven’t seen any affects of X-RAY on orders unless the customer traveled through an airport with their film, without getting a hand check from TSA.
Send film in a bubble mailers or a secure box via your trusted mail carrier. Use First Class Mail with tracking, or equivalent service.
*DO NOT* use postage stamps, envelopes, or any flimsy package that will easily be tampered with or come undone in route to the lab. Use extra tape where needed to ensure security.
We require all customers to write their order number on the outside of their package, and recommend including it on a note within the package itself.
For FAST PASS orders, write “FAST PASS” on your package so we can start it immediately upon receipt.

Yes. We believe that shooting film is all about the physical negatives themselves. When configuring shipping in your cart, select “Return Shipping” to get your film back.
For the rolls/cameras you have purchased prints for, we will print one copy of each image developed. Select “Print Duplicates” to have two of each image printed.
Yes! Both color and black+white. Just select Single-Use as your film type when you are ordering.

Choose the GelForm that best fits your style and application – we apply carefully tuned formulas based on contrast and temperature. For specialty GelForms, we can also preserve details like sprockets or the rebate edge.

At Gelatin Labs, we can process, digitize, and print your film. Start by selecting from our three service offerings to find the best options for your film.
1. Place your film order on gelatinlabs.com – select ‘Return Shipping’ at checkout’ to get negatives returned (and prints, if you ordered them).
2. Envelopes for your order are provided over the counter. Write your name and order number, and load film rolls inside.
3. Hand over your envelope to a Knickerbocker team member.
Your film will head to Gelatin Labs every Monday and Thursday!

For those not on a deadline, we process in the order we receive your film. Estimates are updated to reflect the current average time from “order start” to “order finish”. Flexible estimates are not guaranteed.
Order size and options chosen may affect turnaround time. Lots of film? Expect a longer lead time.
