Ella’s draw to photography is rooted in capturing her love for the people and places closest to her. For her entire life she’s spent her summers in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and it has become one of the most special places in her heart. Her love for the Cape kept her photographing it every summer, but shooting it on film was the first time she was able to capture the true warmth that she sees in the Cape.
As an industrial designer, she is always searching for ways to create the best experience through her ideas. A goal of hers includes focusing on improving the everyday in as seamless a way as possible, with designs that should fit into our lives like they were meant to be there all along. Shooting the Cape on film seemed like the natural next step that she had been looking for, allowing her to capture photos of her second home the way she really sees it through her eyes, something the digital lens could never represent the same way.
