Like most colour negative film it prefers a little overexposure to underexposure. Development and scanning are purchased separately.
Natural colour, medium format.
Kodak Professional Ektacolor 400 is a high speed daylight balanced colour negative film, and in 120 it gives you a smooth and natural colour palette on a negative big enough to do it justice. This is a single roll rated at ISO 400.
The balance is the interesting part. Saturation is vivid enough that colours feel alive, but contrast stays low, which keeps skin tones accurate and stops bright scenes from going harsh. Highlights roll off rather than clipping, and results stay consistent roll to roll.
At ISO 400 it is fast enough for handheld shooting in most daylight and shaded conditions, which makes it a practical everyday medium format colour film rather than one reserved for perfect light. Portraits, events, travel, and general colour work. We process C-41 in house.
