About Paige
Paige is a website designer and hobbyist analog photographer based in the Hudson Valley, just north of New York City. She draws inspiration from cinema and the intimate spaces we inhabit, and she believes film is an ideal medium for her to work.
As a creative who also loves working with her hands, Paige feels right at home within the tactile nature of shooting film, and she plans to dive deeper into the development and zine-printing process in the near future.
Why do you shoot film?
“I started shooting film again (after nearly 10 years) as both an outlet for my creativity and as a way to safely get out of the house toward the end of 2020. I’m never looking back. Shooting film allows me to silence all the chatter and noise in my head, and to explore my surroundings with a renewed curiosity that feels like play. I love the depth of film, both in the aesthetic and process, and there’s just so much to learn and sink your teeth into.”

Testimonial for Gelatin Labs
“Gelatin Labs has played a huge part in my enjoyment of shooting film. They’ve fostered such a welcoming and enthusiastic online community, and I’m so glad I decided to send those first few rolls of film to them! The turnaround time is outrageous (in a good way), and I love the way they can to allow you, the photographer, to have full creative control in editing the final images. You also can’t beat that Christmas morning feeling every time that email notification that you’ve got scans comes in!”
