CineStill 800T in 35mm is cinema film repurposed for stills, and it has become the defining look of contemporary night photography. Rated at ISO 800 and balanced for tungsten light.
Tungsten balance means artificial light renders neutral rather than orange. Streetlights, shop windows, bar interiors and neon all come out looking the way your eye remembers them, where a daylight film would turn everything amber. In actual daylight you will want an 85B filter to avoid a heavy blue cast.
Then there is the halation. With the anti halation backing removed, bright light sources bloom into a soft red glow. It is unmistakable, it is the reason the film exists, and it is why a photograph shot on 800T is recognisable across a room. Cities, nights, neon, and anything lit by a sign.
